Using the concept of \(\mathcal{J H}\)-operator pair of type (R) for two self mappings on a metric space, the authors prove some common fixed point theorems for four mappings (in fact, two \(\mathcal{J H}\)-operator pairs of type (R)) in the absence of a commutativity assumption. An application to a nonlinear integral equation is also given.
