The note presents the results formulated in the first four letters of the author to Alan Weinstein written in 1998--99 and which can be read on \url{http://sophia.dtp.fmph.uniba.sk/~severa/letters/}. The author elucidates his approach to Poisson-Lie T-duality via Courant algebroids. In the note the relevant definitions are presented and sketches of the main results provided.
