The authors investigate the two-dimensional primitive compressible equations \(\partial_t \xi +\partial_x (\xi u)+\partial_z (\xi w) = 0\), \(\partial_t (\xi u) +\partial_x (\xi u^2)+\partial_z (\xi u w) +\partial_x \xi= \partial_x (\xi \partial_x u)+\partial_z (\xi \partial_z u)\), \(\partial_z \xi=0\) in the periodicity strip \(0<z<h\) with boundary and initial conditions. Using an entropy estimate, the authors study the stability of weak solutions.
