This is a very nice paper which gives a short proof for a Diophantine approximation result on the spheres in the case \(n=2\). The general theorem is due to \textit{D. Kleinbock} and \textit{K. Merrill} [Isr. J. Math. 209, Part 1, 293--322 (2015; Zbl 1332.11070)] (with a more involved proof). The present proof is elementary, using continued fractions and classical Diophantine approximation.
