In bargaining problems with a variable population the relative guarantee for any two individuals of a given bargaining solution, when going from one population to a larger one, is the infimum of the ratio of relative decreases of the two individuals taken over all bargaining sets (when the projection to the respective populations are considered). The relative guarantee is 1 for the Kalai-Smorodinsky and the egalitarian solution. An expression for the Nash solution is given.
