The authors state that every finitely generated commutator-finite \({\mathfrak OML}\) (orthomodular lattice) is finite. To prove this, they invent a novel property of \({\mathfrak OML}s:\) An \({\mathfrak OML}\) has the Block Extension Property (\({\mathfrak BEP})\) if there is a block-finite full subalgebra containing B for each finite set B of blocks. Moreover some open problems on \({\mathfrak BEP}\) are commented upon in the last section.
