We generalize the ADHM construction of anti-self-dual connections on \({\mathbb{R}}^ 4\) to the case of ALE gravitational instantons. The hyper- Kähler quotient construction of ALE space, which gives a natural tautological vector bundle, plays a fundamental role in this ADHM construction. As a by-product, we give a geometric interpretation of the McKay correspondence in the appendix.
