The author solves a two-dimensional interface problem for the equation \(- \Delta u+u=0\) with only one singular point on the dividing line. Near the singular point he uses the Ritz-Galerkin method with particular solutions of the interface problem as admissible functions. On the rest subdomain the ordinary finite element method is used. An error estimate is obtained and the results of a numerical experiment are given.
