J. L. Verdier has observed that besides Lamé potentials there are other finite zone potentials of Schrödinger equation which can be given by elliptic functions. The authors show that - similarly to Lamé potentials - Verdier potentials can be obtained within the Weierstrass reduction theory of Riemann's theta function and Abel integrals.
