Due-date-based performance measures for queuing models (Q910838)

The author associates an i.i.d. sequence of ``lead times'' with the orders in a G/M/1 queue and defines the ``tardiness'' \(T_ i\) and the ``flow time'' \(L_ i\) of the i th order by \(T_ i=(S_ i-T_ i)^+\) and \(F_ i=\max (S_ i,T_ i)\) resp., where \(S_ i\) is the sojourn time of this order. The steady state distribution of these ``due-date- based performance measures'' are easily obtained for some special distributions of the lead time.
