Summary: Some remarks are made about the magnetoacoustic waves. These remarks do not appear in the very extensive literature on the subject, as far as the author knows; in spite of their simplicity, it is perhaps of some interest to derive them explicitly in this brief note, pointing out their physical meaning. The remarks concern: the Doppler effect; the linear momentum; the distinctive character of the waves; the magnetic force; the equipartition of energy.
