Let \(a_ n\) denote the number of partitions of n into parts that are pairwise relative prime. An asymptotic formula is obtained for log \(a_ n\) by proving that \(\log a_ n\sim 2\pi \sqrt{\frac{n}{6 \log n}}.\) The more difficult task of obtaining an asymptotic formula for \(a_ n\) is lest as open problem.
