The initial-value problem \[ (1)\quad u_ t+(f(u))_ x=0,\quad -\infty <x<\infty,\quad u(x,0)=u_ 0(x),\quad -\infty <x<\infty \] is considered, assuming \(f''\neq 0\). Fully discrete 2nd order accurate TVNI hybrid MUSCL- type schemes are presented. The convergence of approximate solutions to the entropy solutions of (1) is proved.
