Referring to a result by \textit{E. Vesentini} [Ann. Scuola Norm. Sup. Pisa 26(3), 933-943 (1972; Zbl 0257.46046)] and various other results the author presents a theorem where various conditions are equivalent to the condition that a \(C^*\)-algebra satisfies the spectral maximum principle. Counterexamples are given to show that some of these equivalent conditions do not hold good in a more general setting when the condition of being a \(C^*\)-algebra is not necessarily assumed.
