This is a continuation of two previous papers of the authors [ibid. 371- 395 (1990) and 397-412 (1990); see the two preceding reviews]. The present goal is an elementary proof of Geroch's famous theorem on the existence of a spinor structure of space-time. This proof avoids the complexification of the Clifford algebra of the space-time and employs only rudimentary facts about the bundles and the bundle reduction process. The paper concludes with a critique and clarification of the notion of spinor structure proposed by \textit{W. Graf} [Ann. Inst. Henri Poincaré, n. Sér., Sect. A 29, 85-108 (1978; Zbl 0397.53005)].
