This paper gives an adelic description of Garrett's theory of triple L- functions but with fewer restrictions than are to be found in Garrett's work. The author develops a theory of local integrals and proves a local functional equation. He also determines the \(\epsilon\)-factor. He is not able, however, to compute the local factors at the archimedean in more cases than were studied by Garrett.
