A theorem due to \textit{I. F. Krasičkov-Ternovskii} [Mat. Sbornik, N. Ser. 87(129), 459-489 (Russian) (1972; Zbl 0253.46041)] is generalized. It concerns the local description of submoduls of certain modules of entire functions of exponential type. This description uses the concept of the rank of a submodule, which was considered in an earlier paper by \textit{S. G. Merzlyakov} [Mat. Zametki 33, No.5, 701-713 (Russian) (1983; Zbl 0541.47006)].
