A radiation source is moving with respect to the receiver generating a signal \[ s(t)=A \cos \phi t+B \sin \phi t, \] where A,B are random amplitudes. The signal is received with a random noise and with an amplitude depending on the source speed. A method for detection of the radiation source is found. The speed of the source and the time, when the source is in the minimum distance, are estimated.
