The author uses P. Hall's theorem on systems of distinct representations to derive H. G. Landau's theorem on the score vectors of tournaments. \textit{C. M. Bang} and \textit{H. Sharp} jun. [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. B 26, 81- 84 (1979; Zbl 0328.05114)] have also deduced Landau's theorem from Hall's theorem.
