By using the Beltrami parametrization of a 2-dimensional metric the transformation laws of the basic fields in a gauge theory are derived. Then results on the geometric structure of 2-dimensional gravity in Polyakov's light-cone gauge are obtained. Finally, the supersymmetric generalization of this theory is presented and the super Beltrami equations are written down.
