The authors investigate the two-level convergence rates for multigrid Stokes solvers by using model-problem analysis or local-mode analysis. Their solvers base on the discretization on the staggered grid and the distributive relaxation of the continuity equation. They compare the dependence of the convergence rate on the choice of the grid transfer operators. These theoretical results are also compared with observed multigrid convergence rates in practical implementations.
