Large time behavior of the solution of the heat equation with nonlinear strong absorbtion (Q916872)

The author studies the asymptotic behaviour of the solution of initial- boundary value problem \[ u_ t=\Delta u+u^ p_+=0,\text{ in } \Omega \times (0,+\infty),\quad u=1,\text{ in } \Omega \times \{0\},\quad u=1,\text{ on } \partial \Omega \times (0,\infty), \] where \(\Omega \subset R^ n\) is a bounded smooth domain, \(p>0\) and \(u_+=\max \{u,0\}\).
