In an earlier paper [see Sov. Math., Dokl. 36, No.2, 366-369 (1988); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 296, 1061-1065 (1987; Zbl 0654.51015)] the author showed that geometries of Chevalley groups can be characterized using geometries of corresponding Weyl groups and a special construction introduced by the name linear covering. Here the same technique is used to obtain a more general result consisting in proving that flag geometries of Chevalley groups are linear coverings of flag geometries of corresponding Weyl groups. For details the reader should consult the paper itself.
