Free-convection effects of hydromagnetic flow past an impulsively started vertical porous plate through porous medium (Q917406)

The objective of present investigation is to study the free-convection effects on hydromagnetic flow past a porous plate through a medium which is also supposed to be porous. The magnetic lines for force to be fixed relative to the plate and the plate is moving with uniform velocity U. Such type of problem may have many important applications e.g. in petroleum engineering, for filtration and water purification processes in chemical engineering and in the study of underground water in river beds.
