[For part I cf. the second author, ibid. 74, 173-197 (1987; Zbl 0642.20043).] In this second part of the paper the authors study rational semigroups with respect to Redei and ideal extensions. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given to ensure that such an extension is itself a rational semigroup. The paper contains also an interesting construction of a non-rational monoid where Kleene's theorem holds.
