One considers a parabolic subgroup P of the symplectic group Sp(2m,C) and then the space \(\hat P\) of the unitary irreducible representations of P is studied. It is shown that the space \(\hat P\) contains an open, everywhere dense, subset which is homeomorphic to the space of unitary irreducible representations of some reductive group G. A method of constructing the group G associated to a given group P is given, and the representations of P are explicitly obtained starting with the irreducible representations of G.
