The purpose of this note is to point out some conceptual errors in \textit{C. Holm}'s paper [ibid. 25, 1209-1213 (1986; Zbl 0608.53014)] on hyperspin manifolds. In the author's opinion, important concepts of Riemannian geometry do not fit in the chronometric case (as stated in Holm's paper). The discussion is confined to the three-dimensional case. Proofs are only briefly sketched.
