The paper is well written and, as much as I checked, it is mathematically correct. For solving the plane radiation problem \(\Delta u+k^ 2u=f,\quad u=O(r^{-1/2})\text{ for } r\to \infty \text{ and } \frac{\partial u}{\partial r}+iku=O(r^{-1/2})\text{ for } r\to \infty\) a coupling method of finite and boundary elements is used. The well- posedness of this variational problem-formulation is shown and the error of discretization is estimated. The example of numerical computation is fine but the bad quality of the figures leads to misunderstandings.
