The author studies the form \(y''+F(t,y,y')=0\), \(0<t<1\), concerning the existence of positive solutions, with some conditions (see the paper) when F is singular at either \(t=0\), \(t=1\), and/or \(y=0\), and/or \(y'=0\). The author obtains some relatively new results especially the existence theorems of positive solutions for second order boundary value problems.
