The paper deals with the problem of finding u in a Hilbert space H such that \(B(u,v)=f(v)\) for every \(v\in H\), where B: \(H\times H\to R\) is a continuous H-elliptic bilinear form and f is a continuous linear form. Both B and f are perturbed by a smoothing parameter and a scheme is obtained that provides a smaller error bound than the usual Galerkin method.
