The authors establish global \(L^ p\)-bounds \[ \| \nabla u(\cdot,t)\|_ p\leq e^{-\alpha t}\| \nabla u_ 0\|_ p\quad (0<t<\infty) \] for the solution u of quasilinear equations and systems with initial condition \(u|_{t=0}=u_ 0\). Some effort is done to present also estimates for \(\alpha\).
