Summary: The results of \textit{O. Njåstad} [Pac. J. Math. 15, 961-970 (1965; Zbl 0137.419)] for \(\alpha\)-topologies together with the reults of P. L. Sharma for anticompact perfect Hausdorff spaces are combined to produce several counterexamples in the space \([0,1]^{\alpha}\).
