This paper gives some fairly obvious identities for expressions like \(\Sigma (a_1\pm a_2\pm\cdots\pm a_k)^s\) where the sum is over all choices of sign with an even number of \(+\). As applications, parametric solutions to systems of equations of Tarry-Escott type are found.
