This paper is concerned with a unilateral boundary value problem which is intended to describe the deformation of an elastic beam in contact with an elastic half-space. The problem is reduced to a system of nonlinear boundary equations. Existence and uniqueness results are presented. The solution is approximated by the Newton-Kantorovich method. Numerical results and diagrams are presented.
