The author considered the Gierer-Meinhardt system with saturation and source term under the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. This extends the results of \textit{K. Kurata} and \textit{K. Morimoto} [Commun. Pure Appl. Anal. 7, No.~6, 1443--1482 (2008; Zbl 1197.35023)]. Moreover, the author studied an effect of the source term on a precise asymptotic behavior of the solution.
