The author continues the line of research of the paper of \textit{L. Rodriguez-Marin} and \textit{M. Sama}, [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 335, No.~2, 1374--1382 (2007; Zbl 1135.49011)] by considering new situations no studied in the mentioned paper. A variation characterization of \(\tau^{\omega}\)-contigent epiderivatives \textit{L. Rodriguez-Marin} and \textit{M. Sama}, Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl. 68, No.~12 (A), 3780--3788 (2008; Zbl 1153.49021)] is established if the image space is a reflexive Banach space and a representation formula for these derivatives in terms of epiderivatives of scalar maps is established for the case of a Hilbert space ordered by a basis. Symmetrical results for contigent hypoderivatives are also provided.
