This paper investigates the long time behaviour for solutions to 2D Navier-Stokes equations with periodic time depending forcing terms. To this end, the authors first characterize the invariant measures for the corresponding transition group and study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to evolution equations for measures. The main result: If the noise is sufficiently strong then the solution of a 2D Navier-Stokes equation approaches a periodic orbit independently of the initial time-space data.
