In the mentioned paper [ibid. 13, No. 3, 651--687 (2001; Zbl 0996.34053)], the authors combined the method of upper and lower solutions with a monotone iteration scheme to establish the existence of a traveling wave front. C. Marcelli and F. Papalini noticed an error in that paper such that the monotonicity of the iteration is not guaranteed. The authors correct their error.
