Generalized persistency of excitation (Q925473)

The author considers the linear system \[ \frac{dx}{dt}=-P(t)x,\quad x\in\mathbb R^n, \qquad P(t)=-P^T(t), \quad t\geq 0, \tag{1} \] where \((x,P(t)x)\geq 0\) for all \(x\) and \(t\geq0\). For asymptotic stability and instability of (1) some sufficient conditions are given in terms of eigenvalues of some integrals of \(P(t)\).
