Arithmetic of quasi-cyclotomic fields (Q927722)

The authors consider quadratic extensions of cyclotomic fields over the rationals which are Galois with non-abelian Galois group. They call those ``quasi-cyclotomic''. In this paper they determine a relative integral basis (which always exists), the decomposition behaviour of the prime numbers and the structure of the Galois group. The latter is given in terms of generators and relations. They also study real subfields of quasi-cyclotomic fields which have a non-abelian Galois group. The generation of all the fields considered is based on earlier work by the authors [Math. Z. 253, 479--488 (2006; Zbl 1149.11049)].
