Characterizations of bounded approximation properties (Q928380)

A sample result in this paper is: A Banach space \(X\) has the \(\lambda\)-bounded approximation property if and only if \(\text{ Id}_X\) belongs to the closure of the set of all finite-rank operators of norm \({\leq \lambda}\) with respect to the weak operator topology. Like all the other results in this paper, this one is well known and follows immediately from the definition by standard properties of the weak operator topology.
