In a previous paper by the authors and \textit{D. De Figueiredo} [Differ. Integral Equ. 17, No. 1--2, 119--126 (2004; Zbl 1164.35341)], an interesting method was proposed for the use of variational techniques in elliptic equations involving terms with gradient dependence. The aim of this paper is to extend the application of this method to the existence of periodic solutions to some type of Hamiltonian systems. In the main result, the existence of periodic solutions with small period \(T\) is proved. Those solutions are indeed \(T/2\) antiperiodic.
