In a combination of the theory of \(L\)--splines and polyharmonic splines, existence and uniqueness of cardinal Lagrange functions is established. This is for spaces of so-called polysplines, a certain generalisation of splines in multiple dimensions on grids and special structures with parallel hyperplanes. Asymptotic decay estimates are given for these Lagrange functions, too.
