On the iterates of a class of summation-type linear positive operators (Q931751)

By using the contraction principle the author studies the convergence of the iterates of the uni-dimensional linear operators which preserve the quadratic test function. The uniform norm of the approximation of a function by these operators is bounded by the modulus of continuity of approximated function.
