Let \(f\) and \(g\) be reduced homogeneous polynomials in separate sets of variables. The article establishes a simple formula that relates the eigenspace decomposition of the monodromy operator acting on the cohomology of the Milnor fiber at the origin of \(fg\) to that of the singularities determined by \(f\), respectively \(g\).
