The stabilization of generalized Hamiltonian control systems with internally generated energy is investigated using the passivity-based control methodology. Sufficient conditions for passivization of this kind of Hamiltonian systems are obtained. Some applications are considered, in particular, to engineering. The effectivity of proposed control methodology is demonstrated.
