The main result of this paper is the following Theorem 1. Let \(f\) be a transcendental meromorphic function on the plane, all but finitely many of whose zeros are multiple, and let \(R \not\equiv 0\) be a rational function. Then \(f' - R\) has infinitely many zeros.
