Ideals in MV-pairs (Q939178)

The authors describe the concept of MV-algebra, introduced by Chang (1959) as an algebraic basis for many-valued logic, and extend the results giving by Jenca. In this paper, the authors study the relations between congruences of a Boolean algebra \(B\) and congruences \(B/{ \sim _G}\) induced by a \(G\)-invariant ideal \(I\) of \(B\). \(G\) is a subgroup of the automorphism group of \(B\). They also give some relations between ideals in MV-algebras and in the corresponding \(R\)-generated Boolean algebras.
