Let \(G\) be a finite group. The set of element orders in \(G\) is denoted by \(\omega(G)\) and is called the spectrum of \(G\). The number of non-isomorphic groups with the same spectrum is denoted by \(h(G)\). If \(h(G)=1\), then the group \(G\) is said to be recognizable by spectrum. In this survey article the authors review recent results on the recognition property of groups.
