In the paper, after a brief outline concerning the basic definitions, notations and concepts related to the general theory of combinatorial valuations, the author focuses on translation invariant valuations, where some results can be reproved by separate simplified approaches. In particular, the problem of measure generation by translation invariant valuations is investigated in the space of planes of \(\mathbb{R}^3\), and elementary proofs of some geometrical identities are given.
